Scientists Have Put The Big Ol' Kibosh On Rumours That Men With Big Feet Have Big Penises

Big feet only equals big socks

Scientists Have Put The Big Ol' Kibosh On Rumours That Men With Big Feet Have Big Penises "Big"

Turns out your mate with a 'uge pair of feet may not actually be that well endowed as a result, according to new research by party-pooping scientists.

Despite the adage, "big feet, big *wink wink*!" being whispered by generations of women in bars and nightclubs, the study by CalExotics appears to have disproven any imagined link between the size of your shoe and the size of your bulge.

Or lack thereof.

Instead, CalExotics sexologist Dr Jill McDevitt says, it's a result of, you know, genetics.

"Penis size is not correlated with or predicted by shoe size or any other body part for that matter," she told Insider.

"Penis size is determined by a combination of genetics and environmental factors, mostly in utero."

It's actually not the first time scientists questioned the old wives' tale; a 1993 study in Canada saw 63 men drop trou' and have their height, shoe size and penis length compared, resulting in a conclusion that "foot size would not serve as practical estimators of penis length".

Another, in 2002, measured up a further 104 men with a similar outcome: "The supposed association of penile length and shoe size has no scientific basis".

So there you have it. The myth no longer maketh the man.
