Foxtel has suggested it will sue the man who live streamed last night’s Anthony Mundine v Danny Green fight at Adelaide Oval on Facebook last night.
The man, Darren Sharpe, had more than 150,000 people on his stream before Foxtel eventually shut him down.
The pay TV service has gone on to flag further action, saying that "appropriate legal action will be taken" in a statement.
"What occurred last night on Facebook is stealing and it's harmful to the future of boxing and live sport," the statement said.
Sharpe actually recorded a conversation he had with a Foxtel rep:
"I want you to stop streaming it on Facebook," the Foxtel representative says.
"Mate I've got 78,000 viewers here that aren't going to be happy with you mate," Sharpe responds.
"It's an offence against the Copyright Act of Australia mate," the rep says.
"I don't think I can stop streaming mate," Sharpe says.
"There's people all over the world watching this."
Sharpe has set up a GoFundMe page to cover the costs of legal fight.
