Michael Morgan (Cowboys), Cameron Munster (Storm), Corey Norman (Eels) and Moses Mbye (Bulldogs) are all in the mix to replace injured QLD champion halfback Johnathan Thurston for the Origin decider on July 12.
JT was ruled out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Coach Kevin Walters told Fox Sports he was weighing up his options.
“Michael Morgan would be an option for us,” he said, on www.foxsports.com.au.
“[Cameron] Munster was the 18th man so he’d be another one for us.
“Corey Norman’s being playing well for Parramatta… Moses Mbye is another who that would possibly come into the picture.”
Manly’s in-form halfback Daly Cherry-Evans was a notable omission.
Earlier today, Kevin Walters told Triple M the Storm’s Cameron Munster was an option to cover Darius Boyd, who will miss Game III with a broken thumb.
“We had Cameron Munster as our 18th man. He’s played at centre and he’s much respected amongst the group with his defence. So he would be an option for us.” Listen to the full audio below.
