Triple M's Wayne Carey says there has been a "witch hunt" against Lindsay Thomas for his actions against Geelong.
LISTEN TO DUCK EXPLAIN:
Thomas was sent to the tribunal for a bump on Geelong midfielder Scott Selwood, which saw him concussed, while also receiving a separate one-week ban for striking Joel Selwood.
Carey joined Triple M's Rush Hour on Tuesday and agreed the bump was "ordinary", but said Thomas was unfairly treated "because he's got a past".
"Anyone that tells me that this isn’t true are kidding themselves," he said.
It was an argument that had JB in full agreement.
"I agree with you, Duck. There's never been an easier target in footy than that bloke," he said.
"And he is a beauty off the field, don't worry about that."
