5 Great Shows To Take The Kids Now The Royal Show Is Done

Mark your calendars...

5 Great Shows To Take The Kids Now The Royal Show Is Done Pexels

Now that the Royal Show is over for another year, there's a lot of us who either missed the show and need to get our fix, or, had so much bloody fun at the Perth version that you just need to get out and experience some more.

With that in mind, we've asked around the office and come up with the 5 best shows to check out now that the Royal Show is done and dusted for another year.

There's a bit of criteria in place.

  1. They need to be within a couple of hours drive from Perth
  2. They need to be awesome
  3. They need to have lots of fun things to do

We've placed them in order of when they're happening.

Waroona Show: 7th October 2017 (tomorrow)

Only a couple of hours south of Perth, and you're at a true country show. And what a ripper it is.

A few people in the office rated this one as one of the best, so Lisa and Pete thought they'd give the organiser a call to have a chat about it.

Kelmscott Show: 20th and 21st October, 2017

If you can't make it to Waroona, you only have to wait a month or so and boom, the festival is back in Perth for the Kelmscott show.

This one is FAMOUSLY good for the good Hills people of Perth. So much fun, right there at our foothills.

Canning Show: 3rd and 4th November, 2017

Not even 15kms from the CBD... WINNING!

There's so much on offer, too much to mention. And it's not even a month away.

Osborne Park Show: 17th and 18th November, 2017

Another one that has all the best bits of the Perth Royal Show, and located right here in Perth. Lots of rides, showbags, fairy floss and everything else to get the kids excited.

This year is the 103rd time the show has run, which proves how much longevity it truly has.

Wanneroo Show: 24th and 25th November, 2017

It's hard to believe but for a long time, this was probably considered a truly "rural" show for quite a while in Perth.

But for people north of the river, this show is famous. For lots of reasons.
