Oh What A Fun Time

Don't Ask

Oh What A Fun Time

What a fun 48 hours I've had.

Having lived in the paradise of Bunbury for a tick under 25 years I have seen and heard plenty, some which will be kept under wraps forever. If I do a pinky swear it goes no further.

Consequently people contact me about all matter of issues on council, govts state and federal and who knows what else.

Let me highlight that there is only one Carl Bernstein and Triple M is not The Australian or 60 Minutes however the fourth estate has a job to do and that can mean poking your nose into areas people don't like.

On Friday I started asking questions about a number of issues, trying to get to the bottom of a few things and didn't it set off a firestorm? Yep.

I've seen a reaction akin to showing dissent in religion and it's been an education!

On occaision questions must be asked and the recipient of those questions may not be happy, let's remember though George Orwell once wrote that journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed, everything else is public relations.

Journos also protect sources, if someone asks "who told you that" there will be no reply, were there to be the game is over.

So here we are, Monday and the ball is rolling along, who knows where my stories will go, maybe nowhere, but just because someone doesn't want questions asked does not mean they won't be.

And by the way, if you want a conversation to stay private, have it in a private place, or more questions might be asked.
