What's That Random Massive Christmas Table You Might Have Seen In The City? Supplied

So, if you're Christmas shopping in the city any time soon, and you run into an ultra-impressive Christmas table layout at 140 Perth, there's a good reason for it.

The table is located in Postal Place, and it's been created by CBRE to recognise volunteers who give up their time on Christmas Day and also as a space for the community to enjoy.

The 140 Christmas Community Table seats up to 26 people at a time, and in the lead-up to the big day, the pop-up Christmas table will host charity luncheons for Lifeline, Mission Australia and South Perth Meals on Wheels.

CBRE General Manager Louise Draper, said the following about the installation:

“The work Lifeline, Mission Australia and South Perth Senior Meals on Wheels volunteers do is vital for our community. People who take the time out of their Christmas celebrations to support the wider community truly deserve recognition. The commitment and devotion the volunteers make providing assistance, at one of the toughest times of the year, for those in need is remarkable.”

In the lead up to Christmas, the community can also enjoy the 140 Community Christmas Table. A DJ will provide an array of upbeat, trending songs mixed with festive favourites every Thursday and Friday.
The 140 Community Christmas Table is open to the general public until Friday, 22 December.
