West Coast's Warning Ahead Of Thursday Night's AFL Game

Get there early...

West Coast's Warning Ahead Of Thursday Night's AFL Game

In a sign of the (sad) times, the West Coast Eagles have issued a statement on their Facebook page advising punters to turn up as early as possible for the big game against Geelong at Domain Stadium on Thursday night.

Obviously, due to the tragic nature of world events of late, security will be ramped up more so than usual at Domain Stadium.

It's fair to say that a few of the comments on the post have been derogatory, mainly due to the fact that many people may very well struggle to get to the game before the start time of 6.10pm, due to peak hour traffic and the like.

Thursday and Friday night games usually start at 6.10pm local time here in Perth, presumably so that the game can start at a reasonable time for TV viewers in the Eastern States.

That will be of little consolation to the thousands of West Coast fans who will more than likely miss the opening of the big game against the Cats.
