In case you missed it… Tickets to the open day for the newly crowned Optus Stadium went on sale today and sold out.
An initial allocation of 70,000 tickets was made available at 9am and they were snapped up within 90 minutes of being released.
So, Mark McGowan has given the go ahead for an additional 40,000 free tickets to be made available across a range of new morning sessions. These new tickets will be available from perthstadium.com.au from 10am on Friday, 10 November 2017.
Mr McGowan had this to say about the sell-out.
“This world-class Stadium belongs to the people of Western Australia and demand for the Open Day today has been exceptional. I am delighted that even more people will now have the chance to see inside the Stadium for the very first time.”
- Mark McGowan
Each ticket for the Open Day includes public transport to and from the Stadium. Ticket holders will be able to browse and explore the features of the Stadium and experience firsthand the ‘fans first’ facilities that have been integrated into the design.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take in the magnificent views of the playing surface, the city and the Swan River, and of course, see where their favourite team will run out on to the ground.
The Stadium Park precinct will also be filled with a range of free family activities, entertainment, food and live music. Visitors will be welcome to explore all the Stadium Park has to offer, including public art, nature playgrounds in the Chevron Parkland, and the BHP Boardwalk.
