Bourbon fans... there's a brand new pop-up bourbon bar coming to Mount Lawley tomorrow.
For four weeks, Russell's Bar will be serving Wild Turkey, live music and four cocktails designed to make you think of bourbon in a new light.
The cocktails? Think rye and freshly juiced granny smith apples on ice and delicious, in-house barrel aged hazelnut old fashioned, tinder box smoked Firebirds, as well as a good old-fashioned bourbon whiskey sour.
The bar is named after Jimmy Russell, who is pretty much responsible for keeping bourbon alive and kicking during the whole prohibition thing in the USA.
To add to the whole ambient side of things, local band Paper Moon will be playing reworked covers of some of your faves, all with a jazz, blues slash soul vibe, happening every Wednesday night.
Russell's Bar is an installation in the Queens and is there all May.
