Man Behind Alleged 'Pie Throwing' Incident Faces Court

The man who allegedly smashed a lemon meringue pie into the face of Qantas boss Alan Joyce has faced the Perth Magistrates Court this morning.

Tony Overheu, who was slapped with a lifetime ban by the national carrier, faces charges of common assault, damaging property, trespass and giving false details to police.

His appearance was short, and he was not required to enter a plea.

He'll return to court on July 7.

The 'pie throwing' incident is believed to be part of a protest by Mr Overheu, against corporations supporting social agendas.
