Timing is everything in life.
Fifteen Perth workmates have struck it rich in Saturday's lotto draw, and it comes after more than half of them were made redundant.
Each syndicate member will pocket $285,000, after claiming the $4.2 million prize.
The syndicate coordinator says she wasn't hopeful when she heard a division one winning ticket had been sold at Flinders Square Lucky Lotto in Yokine.
"I was sure we didn't have one of the winning numbers and thought to myself 'those lucky buggers'. It wasn't until I checked my ticket in-store that I realised we were the lucky buggers," she said.
