It's Time For A Summer 'Staycation'

Holiday at home this Christmas break

It's Time For A Summer 'Staycation'

With a vast coastline of 'to-die-for' beaches, world class wineries and local wildlife like the smiling quokka, there's no shortage of holiday experiences on offer in WA.

That's what local hotel operators are hoping the people of Perth will realise, as they consider the benefits of a 'staycation' this Summer.

With Mount Agung making air travel to Bali unpredictable, and prices for accommodation in WA dipping to new lows, it's not such a bad idea.

Australian Hotels Association WA CEO Bradley Woods said following the slowdown in the mining industry, hotel prices in Perth and regional areas have fallen substantially, making holidaying in WA far more affordable.

"As Western Australians, we are incredibly fortunate to live in such a vast state where we have an enormous array of natural attractions and activities to choose from,” said Mr Woods.

With West Aussies forecast to splurge $3.7 billion on Christmas this year, a holiday at home might be all you can afford anyway!

Here's a reminder of some of the gems right on our doorstep...
