You've Been Paid To Do Your Christmas Shopping This Year

Not bad.

You've Been Paid To Do Your Christmas Shopping This Year

As the Christmas season panic sets in, it may offer some relief to workers that they've been paid to do their shopping this year.

Research from the Commonwealth Bank has shown that more Aussies are doing their shopping online and during work hours this year, with the peak spending time between 11am and 5pm.

This comes as shoppers opt to do their shopping from their desktops, with CBA Managing Director Retail Nick Aronson citing the rise of Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Click Frenzy deals for this trend.

"The marked increase in online spending this year reflects the influence of these global and national shopping trends on customer behaviour, and we expect this only to grow," Mr Aronson said.

Further, the introduction of Amazon Australia has seen a surge in the areas of fashion, electronics and pet supplies.

The CBA research has also shown that we've spent more on eating out in the Christmas period this year than last year, up by 15 per cent.
