Details here

A convicted rapist who has been on the run for the last two days after removing his electronic tracking bracelet has been arrested in NSW.

Corrective Services has been advised that Damien Kennedy, 28, has been taken into custody in Wollongong.

Kennedy is understood to have removed the monitoring bracelet while on a supervised visit in Brisbane's south on Monday afternoon.

He had since posted on social media, taunting authorities as to his whereabouts.

"Come and get me morther [sic] f***ers," he posted.

This post was geo-tagged on Facebook to give the appearance that Kennedy was in Rockhampton, however users of the social platform are able to change their location manually.
