There is chaos for Qantas passengers with the airline's booking system going down on Wednesday morning.
It was first thought the outage was related to the latest global cyber attack but the airline says that's not the case, blaming the software they use.
The airline has provided the following statement:
Qantas is one of multiple airlines worldwide currently experiencing issues with the Amadeus booking system.
Amadeus, which is third party IT system used by airlines globally, has advised that the intermittent outages experienced by customers are due to a hardware issue and are unrelated to the malware attack that has impacted other companies.
To be clear, Qantas has not been impacted by the Petya malware attack.
Flights are operating as scheduled.
While Qantas is in the clear, other Australian businesses have been impacted including Cadbury which has been forced to halt production at its famous factory in Hobart.
