A little bit of fun could land Pauline Hanson in a stack of trouble..
The One Nation leader has removed a video posted just last night, where she is standing on the balcony of a high-rise building in Townsville, having her first ever go at flying a drone, believed to be owned by her right-hand man, chief of staff James Ashby.
"I'm flying the drone here, first time ever and... oh! up and down!," she chuckled.
"..as long as I keep it under 400ft I'm right."
That's correct. Under Civil Aviation Safety Authority rules recreational drone operators can't fly any higher than 400 feet in controlled airspaces. But you're also not allowed to fly within 30 metres of people or property.
People watching the clip picked up on it pretty quickly, advising Hanson for her own good, it's best she take the video down.
“Most of Townsville is a no flyzone, 400ft is only one of the rules,” one person commented on the clip.
“Strooth Pauline, don’t let CASA see this video! Regulations! Take the video down quickly," another said.
At this stage there is no indication Hanson is set to be investigated over the clip.
