Onlooker Describes The Horror Scenes Following Victorian Waterpark Incident

A member of the public has described the scenes after two boys were injured after an accident at a Victorian water park.

News.com.au reports the anonymous patron saw a child knocked unconscious on the AquaSphere slide at the Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre.

“He blacked out for nearly 15 minutes after,” the onlooker said.

“Apparently the dad and the older son came out of the AquaSphere slide on the tube.”

“Then a few seconds later the boy came flying out… The dad ran to his aid, his body was flopping and the older brother appeared to have an injury to his arm.”

PARC CEO Tim Gledhill confirmed the slide was closed following the latest incident.

“We are working closely with the manufacturer of the slide, Whitewater West, to investigate the cause of the incident and the slide will remain closed to the public during this time,” he told News.com.au.

“The safety of our members and guests is our highest priority and we remain committed to ensuring our visitors have safe and enjoyable experience at all times.”

He confirmed two boys were injured using the slide on February 27.

The Aquasphere slide was previously shut down in August, 2014, after two adults suffered head injuries while using it.
