The first victim of the London terror attacks has been named as a Canadian homeless shelter worker, who'd been preparing to get married.

30 year old Christine Archibald was struck on the London Bridge and died in her fiance's arms. She is the first of 7 people killed in the twin attacks late on Saturday night to be identified.

Originally from Castlegar, B.C., Chrissy had been living in the Netherlands with her fiance, Tyler Ferguson.

The pair had travelled to London for the weekend.

Family members of the couple have spoken with Canadian media, saying Tyler is 'broken into a million pieces' after watching his partner's final moments.

"He held her and watched her die in his arms."

"They were very madly in love and had quite the plans for the future," Tyler's brother Mark Ferguson said. "[It's] obviously very, very devastating for him. The love of his life has just been ripped away from him."

A memorial page has also appeared online, raising money for a homeless shelter.
