Competition Out To Find The Best In Rural Innovation

Problem-solving is crucial to our states growth.

And there's no better way to recognise these local heroes than through the Rural Councils Victoria, Campaspe Shire Council 'Community Innovators Competition'.

A chance to highlight the special and creative work that rural Victorians are doing in their communities involving 38 councils within the Rural Councils Victoria. Shepparton is one of them.

Nominate a local within four categories: road safety, library and literacy services, fire safety and saving energy.

“Whether it’s a librarian trying new ways to reach communities in remote locations, a school principal creating a smarter way to teach students about road safety, or a farmer developing a better system for fire prevention, we want to hear about what you’re doing to work smarter in rural Victoria.”

- Campaspe Shire Chief Executive Officer Mr Jason Russell said.

The winner of each category will win $1,000 towards expanding their innovative project or program.

Nominations close at 4pm, Friday 4 May, with the winners announced on 16 to 17 May.
