It's time to channel your inner Marie Kondo, because Clean Up Australia Day is right around the corner, and CQ residents are being asked to contribute to the health and cleanliness of our natural environment.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said that Clean Up Australia Day is an opportunity to come together as a community 'to make a positive contribution to improving the local environment while raising awareness about the impact of litter".
“We are lucky to live in such a beautiful corner of the world, and year after year I am reminded of our strong community pride when we work together to clean up our region... Gladstone Regional Council supports the community’s clean-up efforts by arranging waste collection and disposal, providing extra materials and assisting sites on the day." Cr Burnett
The community event this year will be held on Sunday 3rd March. To join a site in the Gladstone Region, head to the Clean Up Australia Day website.
