Coast Grocer Held Up At Gunpoint

Police search for hoodie-clad robber

Coast Grocer Held Up At Gunpoint

The hunt’s underway for a man who held up a Buff Point shop at gunpoint overnight.

Police say he raided the Bruce Road grocery store with a firearm around 8 o’clock, threatening staff and demanding money.

He then took off with cash and other items in a grey SUV.

The vehicle was travelling northbound and it’s believed it could have been driven by another person.

Detectives are going over CCTV footage from neighbouring businesses now.

They’re looking out for a Caucasian man, around 170 centimetres tall with what's described as "a strong Australian accent".

He was wearing a black hooded-jumper, black tracksuit pants and had his face covered during the robbery.
