South Australia Just Racked Up A RIDICULOUS Score In The Domestic One Day Cup

South Australia has broken the record score for an Australian domestic one day match in their game against the Cricket Australia XI at Hurstville Oval in Sydney.

The Redbacks put on 7/420 from their 50 overs, powered by towering centuries to Jake Weatherald and Callum Ferguson.

Weatherald made 141 off 105 balls in just his fifth List A game, with 17 fours and six sixes, while Ferguson knocked up 154 off 113 with finding the boundary 17 times and depositing the ball over the fence three times.

Weatherald raced to his maiden domestic ton in 66 deliveries, while Ferguson got there in a relatively calm 85 balls.

Remarkably, there were two ducks in SA’s innings, with Jake Lehmann (son of Darren) and Cameron Valente both registering blobs.

Regardless, the Redbacks broke Queensland’s record score of 4/405 with more than an over to go.

As expected, most of the CA XI bowlers copped a flogging, with Arjun Nair’s 1/68 off 10 overs the pick of the bunch.

Tom O’Donnell took three wickets but gave up 84 runs off 10 overs, while Brendan Doggett came in for some serious punishment, returning figures of 2/94 from his 10.

CA XI have yet to start their reply, but it’s fair to say they’re serious underdogs.
