Shaun Tait Goes Bonkers In Local Cricket Match...With The Bat
What the hell?!
Shaun Tait has starred in a local game of cricket...with the willow, believe it or not.
Tait made an appearance for Nairne Cricket Club over in the Alexandra & Eastern Hills Cricket Association's A grade comp last weekend.
He didn't get a bowl - a frightening prospect for a park cricket comp - but he definitely shone with the bat.
Tait came in at first drop and spanked 160 off just 119 balls against Wistow.
It was a rapid innings featuring a lazy eight fours and 13 sixes, enough to take Nairne to 5/329 after their 45 overs.
Fair effort for a guy whose best score in a limited overs game in Australia was just 26.
To be fair to Tait, it's not a first, as he's got two tons at this level, a 119 off 76 balls against Wistow - poor guys - and a 117 against 69 against Woodside.
There was a Tait on the bowler's list, though - his brother Jarrad, who opened and took 1/5 off seven overs as Nairne cleaned up Wistow for 124.
Fellow opening bowler Michael Harden also took a hat-trick to end the game and close out an eventful day.
