Pat Cummins Makes His Return To Australian Cricket
The wait is over.
Forgotten quick Pat Cummins will make his long-awaited return to Australian cricket.
Cummins has been named in New South Wales' side to take on the Cricket Australia XI in the Matador Cup today.
The 23-year-old has finally shaken off persistent injury to prove himself fit.
Cummins was ruled out of cricket over the winter as he rehabilitated from persistent stress fractures in his back.
The youngster broke out onto the international scene five years ago, taking 6/79 in the second innings and hitting the winning runs in his only Test match to date against South Africa.
Cummins has also starred with the ball in his fleeting ODI and T20 performances, averaging 25.21 and 18.80 respectively, including 12 wickets at 19.67 in the five-match ODI series against England last year - his last cricket appearance in all forms.
