Sydney Star On Track To Return For Preliminary Final
Positive news on the injury front.
Sydney has received some good news on the injury front, with ruckman Kurt Tippett set to return from injury in time for their preliminary final against Geelong.
Tippett missed Sydney's semi final victory over Adelaide after fracturing his jaw against GWS.
The 28-year-old played out the match against the Giants but was sidelined this week.
Despite this, coach John Longmire confimed Tippett had still trained on Thursday and over the weekend.
And if he can continue training he looks like he'll find his place back in the side, according to Sydney football manager Tom Harley.
"He trained on Thursday and did some more over the weekend," he told The Daily Telegraph. "He needs to get through training but he certainly won’t be ruled out early.
"He didn't require surgery which is positive."
Sydney will, however, sweat on the fitness of injured trio Jarrad McVeigh, Gary Rohan and Callum Mills.
Mills hurt his hamstring against GWS, while Rohan and McVeigh were both sidelined against the Crows.
