New Club Enters Jesse Hogan Race
New potential destination for the highly sought after big man
The West Coast Eagles have thrown their hat into the ring in the chase for Melbourne key forward Jesse Hogan.
The big Demon is contracted until the end of 2017, and West Coast have joined Fremantle as clubs looking to prise him out of Melbourne once that contract expires.
The Eagles want the Rising Star winner to form a forward 50 partnership with dual Coleman Medallist Josh Kennedy.
West Coast General Manager of Football Craig Vozzo confirmed that the Eagles have been into Hogan for several years.
“We have been in constant dialogue with his management over a long period of time,” Vozzo told News Corp.
“We have rated Jesse very highly from the time he was 16 or 17, and if that was an opportunity (to sign him) it’s one that our football club would strongly consider and explore.”
West Coast has also been strongly linked to delisted North big man Drew Petrie.
