Collingwood Delist Inexperienced Trio
Tim Golds, Matthew Goodyear and Darrean Wyatt shown the door
Collingwood have delisted inexperienced trio Tim Golds, Matthew Goodyear and Darrean Wyatt.
Golds, who was a foundation member of Greater Western Sydney, got picked up by the Magpies in this year’s rookie draft after six games in four years with the Giants. He failed to add to his games tally at the Holden Centre.
Goodyear was taken at pick No.48 in the 2014 draft and only managed two senior matches for the Magpies.
Wyatt, a Melbourne-born basketballer, was signed as a Category B rookie but failed to play a game for Collingwood.
Collingwood football manager Graeme Allan thanked the three players for their contribution to the Magpies.
“Tim, Matt and Darrean are all great young men who showed professionalism and commitment to the Collingwood program and we wish them all the best in the future,” Allan said.
Golds, Goodyear and Wyatt join retirees Dane Swan, Brent Macaffer and Alan Toovey as departures from the club.
