Western Bulldogs hard nut Lin Jong is weighing up a “lucrative” contract offer from Gold Coast, according to Triple M Footy’s Jay Clark.

Jong controversially took a tour of Collingwood’s facilities during the 2016 season and was thought to be a strong chance to join Nathan Buckley’s side.

But Jay-Z told Triple M’s Rush Hour on Monday that the Magpies are now out of the running.

The 23-year-old missed out on a premiership medal on Saturday after being overlooked at the selection table, despite overcoming a broken collarbone and being adjudged best afield in Footscray’s VFL Grand Final win a week earlier.

Jay-Z said an attractive aspect of a potential move to the Suns would be more senior footy opportunities for Jong.

Jong played 16 games this season for a career total of 39.
