Brisbane Lions Have Just Appointed New Senior Coach

The Brisbane Lions have just announced Hawthorn football manager Chris Fagan as the club's next senior coach. 

Considered to be a front-runner for a number of weeks, Fagan was today appointed the highly sought after position, beating out fellow candidates including former Western Bulldogs assistant Brett Montgomery and Carlton assistant John Barker.

 The 55-year-old has extensive experience in coaching with the Hawks, Melbourne, Tassie Mariners, North Hobart and Sandy Bay, and has been a key member of the Hawk's off-field team for all 4 premiership wins in 2008 and 2013-2015.

He has also played an impressive 275 games in Tasmania.
