Northern Suburbs Victorian Bushfire Appeal

Australia National Removals Group will be sending one or more shipping containers to Victoria, Friday next week. We are asking all residents of the Northern suburbs, to support us and assist in filling these containers. After consultation with the Victorian Salvation Army, the following are desperately needed:

Please Note: They do not want any electrical goods or furniture at this time

We ask that the goods be packaged in bags or boxes (preferable) then we will load the container and transport it to the Salvation Army delivery point in Victoria. Our depot is located at: 9 Mosey Rd, Landsdale (turn at the Peak petrol station on Gnangara Rd). We are open to receive donations 8am – 4pm Monday – Friday. The last day for receivals will be Thursday 19/2/09. All donations will go to the Salvation Army, Victoria.

Fraser's Restaurant

Fraser's will be holding a cocktail party at their restaurant in Kings Park on the 23rd February. Tod Johnston has kindly offered to MC the event together with some music as well as The Gumnut Stompers, James Webb and Wadumbah, Emily Gelineau along with some roving entertainment, sporting personalities, silent auction, main auction, some great food and wines all generously donated by individuals and company's.

Ellenbrook Dockers

The Ellenbrook Dockers JFC have obtained a signed Fremantle Dockers playing jumper. This is the genuine article and we will provide details as required. The jumper has been donated by David Crute the Community Development Manager at the Fremantle Football Club to raise funds for the Bush Fire Appeal. We are offering the jumper to the highest bidder with all funds going to the Bush Fire Appeal, no funds will be kept by the Club. Funds will be handed over to Mix 94.5 to pass onto the correct organisations.

St Vincent de Paul Society

Donate to the Victorian Disaster Appeal through www.vinnies.org.au/vic or by calling 13 18 12. Vinnies is also taking donations of material goods throughout Australia at its Vinnies Centres.

4x4WA have just released their 2nd DVD, and for the next week, half of all sales will be given to the Red Cross Bushfire appeal. The DVD can be found at www.4x4wa.com.au, Auto One Clarkson, Auto One Wanneroo, Auto One Ellenbrook, Perth4x4, Balcatta (The Wanneroo, Ellenbrook and Balcatta stores will have stock from the 16th).

Pickity Witch

Having just released his first novel entitled 'Pickity Witch - The Chosen One', James Nailen-Smith will pledge $1 from every book sold worldwide to the appeal. The book is available in Australia through fishpond.com.au, and on the 21st February, he will be officially launching the book at Gloria Jeans Coffee House, Waterford Plaza in Karawara between 10am and 2pm. People can come and get their book signed, or place an order for a signed book. Futher details can be obtained at his website, www.pickitywitch.com.

Veejays Auction

Saturday 28th February at 1 PM, a kitchen is going up for auction where all proceeds go to the Red Cross Victorian Bush Fires Appeal

The auction will be held at 31 Crocker Drive Malaga.
