    Whe I was a young kid my father had a saying which I never heard anyone else say. He always said it whenever something went wrong or there was something he didn;' agree with..........

    To this day, I have no idea where it orginated.

    China Plate = mate (poss female)
    Trouble & strife = wife (def female)
    Frog & Toad = road
    Nickles & dimes = crimes (petty)
    Skull & bone = phone
    After Dark = shark
    Cpt Cook = look
    Adrian Quist = pissed

    and on and on and on - enjoy!

    In particular my gentleman farther used to tell me on the odd occassion that he was 'a bit Adrian's'.... but would be just fne because he was gripping with his toes!!!! Through leather shoes - how I will never know - but laugh I did!
