Richie Benaud Retires Post by: The Bunch 25 November, 2009 - 6:16 PM

The lure of television has proved too much for Australian Cricket icon and Milo fanatic Richie Benaud.

At the start of 2009, Richie shocked us all when he announced he was retiring completely after being the face of cricket commentary since 1960.

"I love it and when you get a season like we've just had, well, that's absolutely terrific," the 78-year-old said.

Richie is still calling it quits from ball-by-ball commentary to instead focus on making special features.

Retired cricket legends Adam Gilchrist and Shane Warne are going to take his place in the commentary box.

What will life be without Richie full-time? And what's your favourite Richie moment?
