Your First Love
The Big Couch 2 September, 2009 - 3:30 PM
You might have heard us talking to Ariel regarding a pilot that Granada Productions are making "Reuniting People With Their First Love".
It's an interesting thought isn't it. Would the passion and spark still be there? Or is there too much water under the bridge?
We want to know. Have you or would you want to re-unite with your first love?

After catching up with several people from school, including my first love on Facebook, we decided to do dinner. After lots of flirting via email and some pretty fabulous chemistry during the 3 separate group dinners, my first love decided it would be a great idea to see each other out of the group situation. I agreed and he left it at, call me next week when you're available. Fast forward 4 months, 1 phone call, 2 sms and an email, he hasn't called me back or answered my messages. "C'est la vie"

No, I haven't met up again. I would not want a reunion. It was so special and I have those memories. First love is always the deepest and it was a special and beautiful time in my teenage life but, I have no desire to go back there or find him on facebook. I moved on as did he. I have been happily married for 20 years with man number 7!!!!!!

I am at the start of a difficult 'get back together' it has been 20 years and she still lives in the UK !!
We have "found" each other again (through a complicated web of contacts, emails and 'hits' from websites that 'reunites friends' and sites that have 'books with faces' in them.) I recently went over to the UK to meet up with her a few months ago and we hit it off almost straight away. We 'fiited right in" with each other so much she came back to WA with me (hurridly arranged passport and tickets to return on the same flight as my return (she was affraid to fly alone) - with only one day spare they arrived in the post - phew!!)
She loved it here, the beautiful beaches, the clear skies and of course, me lol. Since she went back we have phoned, eamiled, texted, video skyped or something almost everyday. Now we are trying desperatly to get a visa sorted for her to come and live here! Not cheap, all the money went on getting there and getting her over here to make sure she liked it (if this was to be the place we would live together) cont............ -

So it looks like we will have to (and want to) marry (which we are both excited about - neither of us have been married before) as part of the visa, it cant happen quick enough for us but we will need to save up the cash first to pay for the visa application and wait for a very hopefull and much needed YES from immigration first - it could be a year or more before that happens (so I've been told) and it has been 6 months already !! We have never forgoten each other and we both still have many things from when we were together as 17 year old 'lovers'. My parents (and a reluctant, at first, me) emmigrated when we had been dating for just over a year and as soon as I got here I got a job and within 12 months was back over there to be with her - my money and plane ticket ran out so I had to come back, we kept in touch and rang up some huge phone bills for many months, but........ well, life got in the way from then on and we had to let each other go - sob *sniff sniff* So this is our second chance and as hard as it is to be appart AGAIN ......well as you can imagine, we are pining for each other more than ever now. we are determined to make it work. Still not sure how at this point though. What a time in life to fall in love - literally - all over again! Thanks for reading my story and good luck for anyone out there doing the same! -

Its been nearly 40 years ago.I have often thought about him , and the way we broke up.It was me who broke it up and .I havent seen him since.I have tried to find him through different sites. but had no luck. I would just like to meet him and see how he is . Not to cause any problems . Just to make peace.
