The Most Dangerous Cake Recipe Posted by The Big Couch 22 October, 2009 - 1:51 PM

Ingredients:
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Method:

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

Try it out... and let us know how it went for you.

I'm not a cook, but am a chocoholic. Is it plain or self raising flour?

If you're going to make the killer cake recipe in a mug - MAKE SURE YOU USE A VERY TALL MUG! I used my 94.5 mug that I got at a bunch breakfast and it still flowed over the top. Tasted good though a bit dry around the edges.

Made this today and it was excellent. I used plain flour and it rose up over the cup and lend to one side. However it looked good and my hubby ate it all :(

so i've heard about this chocolate cake in a mug thing before and i was wondering what the nutrition facts were for this recipe... i typed in all the ingredients to sparkrecipes.com and this particular recipe, if you turn it into one serving, has 969 calories, 59.6 gram of fat, and 102 carbohydrates.... even cut in half, that's pretty gnarly. you can make much healthier and more delicious desserts easily.
