What's Wrong Dockers? Post by: Mix 94.5 6 April, 2009 - 8:41 AM

We know it's early days, but after last year where both our AFL sides suffered very similar fortunes, West Coast turned that around with an emphatic win against Port Power.

The Dockers, on the other hand, have again started a season in familiar fashion with big losses.

What is wrong with The Dockers? We're asking you for your opinion.

  • Is it a mental problem?
  • Is it a skills issue?
  • Or, are we just over-reacting?
Tell us and have your say on WA football.

The Dockers are simply a basket case. Time for them to get the heave ho. Make it a 16 team competition with Gold Coast.

Dockers? poor excuse for a footy " team"--they are an embarressment for the AFL-- good thing is --backing opposing team means winning points

Mark Harvey faces a monumental task; the Dockers skill level is appalling. Harvey has improved the Dockers mental game and their pressure game. Until the skill level rises they cannot hope to rise out of the bottom 8. When you cannot hit a target from 3 metres with a handball you wouldn’t expect a game for a bottom of the ladder colts team in a country league. As for their kicking???

It is fantastic to see that Harvey is instilling that losing culture that has been pivotal to the Dockers for almost 14 years. I give him till the end of the year until he is made the scapegoat. How can you suceed when your emblem is an anchor, your team colour is purple and your number one priority is to trade good players and high draft picks for old has been players. Go you beautiful eagles!!!

The Dockers need to get rid of the anchor from every part of there uniform, emblem etc. They have been told for years anchors weigh you down but they dont listen. It is time after all these years for them to change there uniform to bold stipes or anything without an anchor on it.

We helped name the team and we came up with Dockers as a compromise between being a port and the Fremantle Doctor - Go like the wind Dockers! - we are your true fans. When the going gets tough we will not desert you

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with the Dockers. All they need is a little support from various media outlets that are a too one sided towards the Eagles. There are two West Australia teams in the AFL and as such the media should in actual fact be unbias in their views. However this is not the case be it radio, television or newspaper. As we all know if you are belittled and put down often enough you begin to doubt your own self worth. This is how I feel the Dockers must feel they are constatly put down at every moment. Now because the Eagles have won "ONE" game the belittling starts. I did notice that last year when the Eagles were not doing so well there was none of this crap. I think the time has come for me to change stations. Bye
