Roleystone Theatre says
Political intrigue comes to the fore at Roleystone Theatre this September with the world premiere of a play about Lee Harvey Oswald, John F. Kennedys assassin.
Written and directed by Paul Abbott, One Weekend in Dallas focuses on Oswalds brief time in custody on November 22, 1963, before he was shot and denied a trial.
Abbott says little is known about what went on behind the closed doors of Dallas authorities after Oswald was presumed guilty of Kennedys murder.
Basing the play on real-life events, and setting it between the bookends of JFKs assassination and Oswalds eventual killing, I felt great freedom in exploring every character while trying to portray them as accurately as possible, he said.
One Weekend In Dallas plays at 8pm, September 10, 11, 17 and 18 with a 6pm matinee on September 12. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 children book on 9397 5730, tickets@roleystonetheatre.com.au or through BOCS on 9484 1133.
Roleystone Theatre is located at 587 Brookton Highway, Roleystone, opposite the Croyden Road junction.

On September 10th Rocky Bay will be holding a walk in Mosman Park, commencing at the Rocky Bay grounds in McCabe Street. This walk differs from your usual walk-a-thon in that the focus is on our Clients, who will also be participating. It is a chance for our clients to mix with the local community and at the same time raise awareness of living with a disability and much needed funds. Participation is as simple as registering on line (www.rockybay.org.au then click on the walk with me link), getting a few sponsors and then turning up to enjoy the walk on the day.
Alternatively if you are unable to join us we would love it if you could support us by sponsoring one of our ambassadors by following an ambassador link:

RunwayZedz celebrates real people, real looks and real style at a premier fashion, hair and beauty event in the heart of Fremantle, 13 September 2010, to celebrate Perth Fashion Festival 2010.

For over two decades, one of Fremantles best kept secrets has been the bienniale Zedz Hair Show. These popular shows feature fresh new looks created specifically
for catwalk models by the team at the award-winning Zedz Hair.
The looks showcase the latest trends, and they look hot; but theres a twist. The models are women and men who are regular clients at Zedz, and they come from all walks of life and all ages. Real people; real looks; real style. The Zedz Hair Show is unique because it redefines beauty as something that each of us owns and can amplify, given the right help.
In 2010, Zedz is taking its iconic event to new heights with RUNWAY Zedz. In association with Challenger Institute of Technology and the McCusker Alzheimers Research Foundation, Zedz has created a special event to celebrate Perth Fashion Festival 2010, and its going to be hot.
In the grandeur of the luxuriously restored Fremantle Town Hall, youll see fabulous looks on models you can recognize and identify with. Therell be fashion, and finger
food; a competition featuring some of the best new designers in town where you get to decide who wins; tips and presentations from the experts; and youll be supporting your community by showing your support for emerging fashion talent. In addition, youll be giving hope to the hundreds of thousands of people suffering from dementia, and the near-million Australians who are their carers, as RunwayZedz continues Zedzs proud association with the McCusker Alzheimers Research Foundation.
