Roleystone Theatre says
Inspired by the timeless stories of the Brothers Grimm, Into The Woods brings together classic fairytales in a production that comments on contemporary society.
The Stephen Sondheim musical, directed by Carolyn Latter at Roleystone Theatre this April, blends together various familiar fairytales with an original story of a baker and his wife attempting to reverse a curse on their family so they can have a child.
Its all done with spectacular musical numbers, following characters from Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella and the consequences of their various wishes and quests.
It plays at Roleystone Theatre at 8pm, April 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23 and 24. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 children (17 and under) book on 9397 5730 or through BOCS on 9484 1133.

Melville Theatre says
Take a trip back through time and laugh yourself silly at Melville Theatre this month with the farce A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.
Inspired by the farces of ancient Roman playwright Plautus (251-183BC), the Sondheim musical was originally produced on Broadway in 1962 where it won several Tony Awards.
Its a true musical comedy with equal emphasis on both those words the brilliant music of Stephen Sondheim, matched with non-stop comic action.
A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum plays at 8pm, April 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 24 with 2pm matinees on April 11 and 18.
