  • City of Bayswater says

The City of Bayswater is preparing a masterplan to guide the future development of the Morley, ensuring it will develop as a strategic city centre.

The themes invite people to imagine what Morley might look like in 2035 and focus on:
Civic Morley, centralising civic uses and consolidating them into a core area.
Live Morley, creating a city centre with a strong residential and lifestyle focus.
Green Morley, creating eco-friendly places where natural systems become an integral part of the urban fabric.
Link Morley, creating a connected city framework focusing on mass transit to generate a strong economic centre of activity.

A community open day will be held at the Morley Sport and Recreation Centre from 10am to 3pm, May 22, to give people an opportunity to view these themes.

The four themes can also be viewed at Morley Library, the City of Bayswater Civic Centre and www.bayswater.wa.gov.au from May 3 until June 4.

Comment can be provided up until 4.30pm, June 4, by writing to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Bayswater, PO Box 467, Morley WA 6943.
