North Cottesloe Surf Club says
With sparkling Indian Ocean views, the North Cottesloe Food & Wine Festival is a celebration of summer and all that our WA land and coastal waters have to offer. Mind, body and soul will be nourished through gourmet food, vineyard direct wines and local live music to complete a day that has never failed to impress.
A ticket to the festival takes care of everything you need to make it an afternoon not to be forgotten. One of Perths finest chefs, Don Hancey will offer a pan-0-rama of edible delights including prime WA pork, free range chicken, Manjimup truffle arrancini, Brazilian style spiced mushrooms, wood fired pizza by the slice and other rustic foods from his range of giant pans. Its not unusual to see guests sneaking away from the festival with their belts loosened an extra couple of notches!
While Don is busy catering to your taste buds Swanbourne Cellars will bring together over 60 local, Australian and international wines for your tasting pleasure. Last year the line-up included Margaret Rivers own Cape Mentelle and Howard Park, Iconic New Zealand Pinot grower Ata Rangi, Victorian bigwigs Chandon and Frances connoisseur sparkling Louis Bouillot to name a only a few. The 2010 line-up is a closely guarded secret but you can expect another vast array of wine styles to suit all palates and wallets, carefully selected by the Swanbourne Cellars tasting panel. This festival will reinvigorate old favourites and introduce you to a few new and exciting contenders.

Theo's Run 2010 - April 17th and 18th - Don't miss it!
For 2010 Theo's Run is being taken up a gear or two! Following on from the success of 2009 the Dowerin Car Club has pleasure in announcing that the renowned former Australian Touring Car, Bathurst and international racing champion, Allan Moffat, OBE, will be the special guest of honour.
Allan, famously drove a variety of Ford and Mazda racing cars during the 1970's and 1980's. He also raced very successfully in many overseas races. He has also been a member of the commentary team covering TV broadcasts of motor racing in recent years.
This year sees the show held on the Field Days site. This offers a more secure and spacious venue, complete with catering facilites. Addtionally, a new, specially constructed circuit, for Theo's Run will be ready to use!
Not only will there be cars to view, we also have a variety of traders and stalls for you to peruse. Plus we've now added family movies, screened free of charge, for those of you overnighting on the 17th. This gives you a choice of arriving on Saturday, taking in the afternoon mini events and then either attending the Gala Dinner (see below) or enjoying the catering on the show site, taking in a movie and/or listening to a musical duo.
To cover the obvious expenses, there is a $10 per car entry for cars/bikes etc. entering the show display and laps. Spectator's are free entry with free parking. We are, however, asking a gold coin donation.
Got a motorbike? Like bikes? Then why not ride on Theo's Run? We've just added a bike component.....Bike Show n Shine...$300 and a trophy to the winner!
