Former television journalist Ray Martin is leading a new push to replace the Australian flag on the eve of the country's national day.
"I object to having the British flag in the corner of our flag," Martin told the Herald Sun newspaper. "We have well and truly reached the point where we should have our own flag. I think we have to grow up and move on to the next stage."
What do you think? Should we change the flag?

I will vote no for a flag change. I do not think it the flag ressembles who we are but it does ressemble where we came from which is important in understanding where we are going.
PLUS who's going to pay for the referendem? We are just getting out of GFC. Lets put the money into the health system!!

Why do people always want to change things! The Aussie flag is great just the way it is. We all love our flag and take pride showing it off when ever possible. I have just had my bosses 7yo daughter in here colouring in a picture of the Australian flag, she then took it and proudly displayed it in the window of their family car, so that everyone at the Australia Day brekky can see it tomorrow morning when they arrive. From the oldest Australians to the youngest we are all proud of our flag and it should NOT be changed!!!! I VOTE NO NO NO!!!!

Plus Ray...the British did a lot establishing this great country of ours..Yes they did make mistakes, but hey that was a very long time ago.
Have you ever stopped to think what if another nation had got here first, like the Japs for instance.
If we take out the British flag who is going to demand their flag replace it, we have so many nationalities living here now. Just a thought Ray. -
