Two of the hottest acts from the 80s are teaming up for shows across Oz.

Blondie and The Pretenders are responsible for some of the most stunning songs to come out of the eighties. "Call Me" and Heart Of Glass" from Blondie and The Pretenders' "Brass In Pocket" are now rock classics.

The two of them will be co-headlining the Day on the Green concerts, which are happening at wineries across Australia - a very civilised affair compared to the crusty punk venues they used to play back in the day.

"I am so excited to be coming back to Australia - some of the most fun audiences we've ever had and the beautiful countryside," Pretenders founding member Chrissie Hynde (pictured) gushed. "Yes, we can't wait to rock out Down Under. See you soon you crazy Aussies!".

Blondie's Debbie Harry, Chris Stein and long-time drummer Clem Burke have just completed their first new album in six years, titled Panic Of Girls, which is set for release later this year.

While, The Pretenders, whose hits include "Talk Of The Town", "Back On The Chain Gang" and "I'll Stand By You", last toured Australia three years ago again at the A Day on the Green concerts.
