Sting shocked everyone when he left the post-punk trio to work with a bunch of seasoned blues and jazz musicians for his solo album 'Dream Of The Blue Turtles'. He followed that with another big solo smash 'Nothing Like The Sun' and he never looked back. However, we draw the line at his recent solo effort. 'Songs From A Labyrinth' was a collection of 17th century classical tunes with the featured instrument being a lute. Oh, how very minstrel rock, pass us another jug of mead please. (Getty Images)
