Own A Rare Piece Of Chisel Post by: Dan The Internut 28 November, 2011 - 12:37 PM

The thing about a horrific event like the Margaret River fires, is that it's guaranteed that fellow Aussies will chip in to help those in need... we saw it in droves with the Roleystone / Kelmscott fires, and we saw it right before our eyes with the unfolding event that was the Margaret River fire disaster.
With the town still basking in the glow from one of the biggest events of its history, the Cold Chisel gig at Sandalford winery, the boys from the band did their little bit to raise much needed funds for the unfortunate victims of last week's fires.
Zaccaria and Sandalford are pleased to announce that a USA Fender Stratocaster guitar, signed by Cold Chisel before their concert at Sandalford Estate Margaret River, will be auctioned off to support victims of the fires that raged through the region last week.
The man behind Zaccaria Events, John Zaccaria, said the following:
“Cold Chisel have generously agreed to donate and sign this guitar... We really hope concert patrons and the general public will get on board and bid furiously so we can raise a substantial amount of money. This will be an amazing piece of memorabilia for any fan.”
The funds raised from the successful bid will be donated directly to the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund which has been especially set up to assist victims of the fires. Here's the description of the auction item:
"Guitar signed by members of Cold Chisel, exclusively to raise funds for victims of the Margaret River region fires. The funds raised from the successful bid will be donated directly to the Lord Mayors Distress Relief Fund which has been especially set up to assist those effected by the fires. The guitar will be signed by the band during their concert at Sandalford Estate Margaret River on Saturday November 26th 2011."
To bid for this once in a lifetime item, head to the eBay auction site here.
We do offer one warning... we can not guarantee that the lucky recipient of this awesome axe may not be able to play it like Mossy. As awesome as that would be :)
Were you lucky enough to see Cold Chisel on the weekend? You can read the review here.
