Bono has denied reports that he was rushed to hospital.

The U2 frontman told fans there was no truth to a story in the Irish Independent saying he was taken to the Princess Grace Memorial Hospital in Monaco following a health scare while holidaying in the South Of France.

"Despite press stories to the contrary, Bono has not suffered a recent health scare," the spokeswoman for Bono told Reuters. "Reports of his being rushed to hospital for emergency treatment are untrue. Bono is in good health and enjoying a family holiday in the south of France."

Of course, the 51-year-old singer has had a rough run of it lately with his back operation last year which forced a massive reschedule of their recently completed U2 360 tour.
