OiSHii

A momentous year, 2007 saw the serendipitous bringing together of four creative musical minds to form indie rock group OiSHii. Japanese for "delicious", the name hints at the mischievous nature of some of their music, which ranges from lilting ballads to full-on rock juxtaposing heavy instruments and haunting vocals.

Showcasing a powerful pop rock sound punctuated with string arrangements, tasteful melodies and the odd self-indulgent guitar solo or whimsical keyboard line, Paperfly are an impressive act who create and perform with honesty, energy, and diversity.

Penny Arcade

They have gigged around and played at venues such as Fly By Night Club, Mojos, HQ Leederville etc. And have a full hour + set of original toe-tapping songs, itching to be the next hit song and a wide variety of covers. These boys are roaring for the big stage.

Prisoners Of Faith

With a 3 guitar line-up, Prisoners are able to maintain a full rhythmic sound whilst introducing complex lead work and harmonies into each song. To compliment the thunderous roar of the drums and bass, the vocal lines and melodies are a pleasure to the senses.

Pumpernickel

Singer/ songwriter and all-round musician Paul Fiaschi is the artistic architect behind Perth band Pumpernickel. Citing artists as diverse as The Smithereens, AC/DC and local 80’s band The Boys amongst his countless influences, Fiaschi has moulded an exciting blend of pop rock which is all his own.

Sonpsilo Circus

Formed late in 2009, Sonpsilo Circus are a three-piece band that display a masquerade of sound and melody squeezed through a time tube. Their 60’s-inspired style of rock ‘n’ roll bears signs of Indian influenced rhythms and mantric melodies, as well as a number of ballsy riffs to keep the rockers swaying like drunk toy horses.

Soul Tree

Soul Tree - an original 5 piece from Perth can be best described as alternative rock with dark yet powerful folk rock undertones which is the only of its kind on the Perth scene. Soul Tree bring to the stage something quite unique wich must be experienced!

Southern Cross

The nucleus of Southern Cross (SX) came together when Mel an Ken met at a Zep Boys gig in early 2010. After a couple weeks of jamming over several original songs with Ken on vocals / guitar, and Mel playing bass, and the guys decided it was time to call some mates to complete the line up so Duncan was bought in on 2nd guitar /vocals and Mike was bought in to play drums.

Standard Of Indecency

Hailing from Midland, perhaps the bogan end of Perth, Standard of Indecency are a three piece rock band formed to win a contest. Which they lost. Bass solos, off-pitch vocals and rock-solid drumming may not make this all-original band unique, but it certainly makes them awesome.

State Of Order

State of Order's electrifying modern hard rock sounds have been launched all around the Perth scene and have ventured on to other states airwaves.

Stella's Kitchen

In the three years they've been together, their music has been selected for several compilation CD's, nationally and worldwide, and they launched their first E.P (via Firestarter Music) last year at the Amplifier Bar, for some reason attracting over 400 people.

The Joe Kings

The Joe Kings won the 2010 Western Australian Music Industry Award (WAMI) for 'Favorite Newcomer' which is a tribute to their popularity with audiences in WA. It is notable that in recent years this award has been given to Tame Impala, Birds Of Tokyo, Little Birdy and The Panics, all of whose accomplishments speak for themselves.

The Joy Evelation

Their music is original power rock/pop with some sumptuous acoustic textures and experimental industrial sounds. They are truly original and incredibly dynamic and energetic live. Like Bon Jovi, Ken is native to New Jersey, but has lived and played in New York, Los Angeles, Britain and now is a permanent resident here in Australia.
