The Real Stimulus Package Post by: Dan The Internut 26 March, 2010 - 3:27 PM
Exciting news for Modern Warfare addicts. The brand spanking new map pack is almost here.
The newest map pack will land on Xbox Live Marketplace at the end of this month for 1200 MS points (around $20 Australian), and we believe will be exclusive to the platform for 30 days.
"Stimulus Package" will contain five maps, three new and two from the first Modern Warfare - Overgrown and Crash (which have apparently been given a facelift). The three new maps feature in snow, a thunderstorm and a derelict apartment block.
Now that's a stimulus package that Ruddy should be handing out... although we wouldn't mind another $900 :)
The only thing left for Australian Modern Warfare players to deal with is the annoying lag... but that's for another blog.
What do you reckon? Is the extra maps worth the $20? Do you want to see more map packs released?

Yes yes yes... and yes Dan, the lag is the most annoying thing I've ever encountered in an online game.

The only reason I have an XBox 360 is for the Call of duty Series. I think its a joke!! World at War had 3 map releases, all at $15 after you pay $120 for the game. I didnt bother buying the 3rd.

At least WaW had the NAT sorted out and we could get Aussie games. I am very dissapointed that Acivision could not adopt this.
Just from experience of playing multi player, the Australian XBox 360 Call of Duty community is huge, but it is pot luck to find a local host. Even if you can find one, all it takes is 1 american to join, then we are all back to the usual 1 red bar and lag!!!
So now they want us to pay more for a product that has actually gone backwards!!! WTF man!!! after the millions of dollars that we have already paid... how about sorting out the current issues before we are slugged with another $20 for an add on!! -

Have had no lag since the update which was free, maybe just been lucky. Stimulus package i thought was abit of a ripoff since 2 of the five maps are from the previous Modern warfare. Still whats $20

Why only put the map packs out on the consoles, there are many of us that have paid just as much money as they have, why not put them out on PC as well, as playing on-line you cycle through the same 4-5 maps when there are many more maps to play thet are ,much better ... makes me laugh.
