Earlier this morning head of Apple, Steve jobs officially announced their worst kept secret, the new generation iPhone 4.
Most of the rest of the world gets it on June 24 but we have to wait to the end of July? What's with that!
Most of us have already had a glimpse thanks to an employee of Apple who "lost" his prototype in a bar, but here are some of the nice specs without all the jibber jabber:
- - 9.3 mm thick (24% thinner than the 3GS)
- - The same new A4 chip as the iPad
- - Two colours, black and white.
- - Front and rear cameras.
- - 5 megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom.
- - HD video recording with built in editing.
- - Gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.
- - Up to 32 GB of storage
- - Dual mic noise suppression.
- - 4 times as many pixels (960x640)
- - 4 times better contrast ratio (800:1)
Watch Steve Job's keynote speech as he announces the iPhone 4 and goes through eight of the 100 new features. With all the whooping and cheering that's going on you'd think he was announcing free coffee. Maybe he'll take over from Oprah and do a talk show next, mind you "Steve" doesn't have the same ring to it...

I think a lot of people are forgetting that this isn't the "iphone 4G".. but just an iphone with an upgraded software and design.
No iphone for me thanks
