Julia Gillard got more hot air than she expected when a protester gatecrashed her climate chance speech.

In Brisbane to give a climate change speech, the PM was confronted by a protester who was hot on her heels.

The protester made a dash for the podium but security carried out a mighty fine tackle to take the subject out.

In this footage from abc.net.au the protester can clearly be heard shouting "hey hey coal and gas have got to go".

Apart from being the lamest protest ever, we reckon the security guard is a dead cert to be signed up by footy clubs.

  What an idiot. Does that guy not realise where his electricity comes from? I understand why he is saying it, but there a much better ways of doing that.
