Julia Gillard has announced the election date as Saturday August 21. How do we know what's going to happen? Watch the movie!

This hilarious video from getup.org.au has Gillard and Abbott battling it out blockbuster style.

If only the real deal were this exciting, right now it's just Julia adding a bit of extra flame to her hair colour and Tony tightening the drawstring on his budgie smugglers.

  I think this election would be enhanced by also having a referendum on refugees yes or no and smoking in designated areas in public places (aswell as other issues).I think it's time for Australians to have their voices heard and be able to express what they really feel about these issues instead of being told what to accept.After all nobody has to know what box you tick,it's your business and more importantly it's your country.Give the power back to the people.
